Erie Contemporary Ballet Theatre is an organization of dedicated people, like you, that allow the curtain to rise each year, bringing excellent dance training and highly creative professional productions to our city. The mission of ECBT is to INSPIRE, EDUCATE and ENRICH the LIVES of our DANCERS and the COMMUNITY. ECBT does this by promoting dance and dance education through training, performances, master classes, and other dance-related events. We have been humbled by the encouragement and generosity from all of you who continue to make ECBT the premier dance company that it is and will is still yet to become. We continue to be exhilarated by our dancers' tenacity and resilience navigating through these past few years, and we are excited to share all we have planned for the 2023-2024 season. Join Erie Contemporary Ballet Theatre dancers as they perform with a live orchestra to present the holiday, classic The Nutcracker.  This family-friendly performance featuring iconic music, stunning costumes, spectacular backdrops, and exquisite dancing set in magnificent scenes.  This celebrated production will be sure to create memories that last a lifetime!

The Fairy Tale Series

Narrated by Mother Goose herself, this performance includes choreography, costuming, sets, and classical music set to familiar fairytales, The Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, and The Ugly Duckling. creates this enriching event for the entire family.  There is audience participation throughout the performance, which creates an energetic environment while children in the audience can have an active part in the show, inspiring them to become more interested in dance and theater.
